Those of Abascal renew 96% of the heads of the Senate list and keep one of their two senators elected in 2019
MADRID, 20 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Vox has presented as head of the list to the Senate for Madrid the former Minister of Industry during the Government of Adolfo Suárez between 1977 and 1980, Carlos Bustelo García del Real. In addition, it has signed the Spanish-Cuban writer Zoe Valdés to close her candidacy for the Upper House for the Community of Madrid.
Carlos Bustelo García del Real, who was born in 1936, already ran for Vox in the Senate as number two in the 2019 elections and did not get representation. He was a minister during the period of Adolfo Suárez and later held the presidency of the National Institute of Industry. He is currently part of the Disenso Foundation, Vox’s ‘think thank’.
For her part, the Spanish-Cuban writer Zoe Milagros Valdés Martínez, who has been awarded various prizes for her career, was born in Havana and later became a Spanish national and was also an opponent of the Cuban government of Fidel Castro.
Likewise, in the lists to the Senate that Vox has released this Tuesday, those of Santiago Abascal maintain Yolanda Merelo, who has been one of the three senators that the group has had in this legislature, as head of the list for Ceuta.
On the contrary, Vox has not included José Manuel Marín Gascón, the other senator elected who had the formation in this legislature, in the Murcia lists. And the other parliamentarian from Vox is Pepa Rodríguez de Millán, who is a senator by autonomous designation from Andalusia, but she is on the party lists for Congress for Madrid.
Regarding the candidacies of the year 2019, Vox has undertaken a renewal of more than 96% of its heads of list and, of those that it has announced this Tuesday, it only maintains the ‘number one’ for Toledo, Josefina Blázquez, and that of Vizcaya, María Pérez.
