Despite attending last year, THQ Nordic has revealed that it will not be attending Gamescom 2023 in either the B2C or B2B areas. In an official announcement, the company confirmed that it will be ceasing “all major activities related to shows” this year and that Gamescom is no exception. However, it may be present at next year’s show.
The good news is that they still have announcements to make, with a showcase on August 11 at noon PDT. It will be broadcast live on YouTube and Twitch, but they haven’t yet announced which games will be featured. Last year titles were announced such as SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake, Destroy All Humans! 2 – Reprobed, The Valiant, etc.
Stay tuned for more announcements from this year’s show. THQ Nordic joins companies such as Sony, which will also be absent from this year’s show. However, fans can look forward to companies like Nintendo, Microsoft, and Bethesda that will be in attendance. Gamescom Opening Night Live has also been confirmed to return on August 22.
