This is not the first time we have met Basim, but this time only he has the main role.
Although Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is no longer receiving new content, its expansion has been completed, and this autumn will see the release of its largest work, Assassin’s Creed Mirage, which was originally supposed to be a larger add-on, but eventually grew to such an extent that it became an independent game. The center of the story is Basim Ibn Ishaq, who in Valhalla was a kind of mentor figure for Eivor, but he had his own motivations and a mysterious past, which is also the focus of the upcoming spin-off.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage takes place in Baghdad in the 9th century, in one of the decisive cultural and commercial centers of the era, we can act with Basim as we did at the beginning of the series: the focus will again be on the classic, hidden blade, stealth experience.
The developer video below tells a little more about Basim. According to Ubisoft, anyone will be able to get to know the character’s story even if they haven’t played Valhalla or the other Assassin’s Creed games for a minute, but of course there are secrets, hints and easter eggs for those who are already familiar with the series and/or have finished Valhalla . During the game, Basim turns from a young thief into a professional assassin right before our eyes, but let the creators tell us more about this:
Assassin’s Creed Mirage will be released on October 12 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. Will you get it in the big autumn tumult?
