Cairo security men arrested the driver of a pick-up truck, accusing him of causing the destruction of a number of cars on Salah Salem Street, in implementation of the directives of Major General Mohamed Abdullah, Director of the General Department of Cairo Investigations.
The Ministry of the Interior had monitored what was circulated on social networking sites “Facebook”, which included the driver of a “four-wheel drive” car driving recklessly, colliding with more than one car, and fleeing on Salah Salem Road at the Al-Darb Al-Ahmar Police Department in Cairo.
On examination, it was found that the car belonged to a person residing in the Old Cairo Police Department. The car was seized, and the car was the scene of the incident. When confronted, he confessed to having committed the incident, so legal measures were taken, and the Public Prosecution office took over the investigation.
