As we learned from the organizer, several tournaments alternated in the last three weeks. András Karácsony reported on the details:
– In the first week, I counted on fifteen people, but in the end nineteen made up the team. On Monday, the children colored the paving stones in the market square with asphalt chalk. In the afternoon, we took possession of the playground after a quiet rest after lunch. On Tuesday, István Kovács, once an Olympic torchbearer, came to us. He gave us a very interesting presentation and we had the opportunity to hold the original torch and run with it for a few meters. On Wednesday we held a sports morning, on Thursday we folded small boats, which we also launched on the Malom canal. On Friday, the children did crafts, and in the afternoon we held the unmissable party. Lunch was provided by the kitchen of the kindergarten, which we thank again this time. The camp was financially supported by the municipality, so the parents did not have to contribute to the costs of the camp.
After that, the Village Hall was quiet only on the weekend, from the beginning of the week (June 26) thirty children took possession of it again, but now the camp was organized under the leadership of the Child Welfare Service.
– On Monday they did handicrafts, on Tuesday they were at the cinema in Fehérvár, on Wednesday they took over Koronás park, on Thursday they stayed in the village hall, they crowned their magnificent lunch with pancakes, but they even had an ice cream – continued Karácsony’s report – on Friday they closed the week with an air castle and a cellar party. This week, care was provided in a very diverse way with the help of local volunteers. There was flaming pasta with potatoes, pancakes, but also meat with rice. The local government also supported this camp, much to the delight of the parents. And so that we don’t stay without a camp for a long time, there is also a camp next week, organized by the Reformed Church, but the village hall will only be used for the lunch, but even here they will be able to feed the 40 people in two installments – concluded the Káloz village hall public education specialist.
