The NFL games in Germany in 2023 are scheduled for the month of November and are scheduled to take place in Frankfurt am Main.
Frankfurt – It will be a spectacle on several levels: The city of Frankfurt is happy about the visit of the Kansas City Chiefs, New England Patriots, Miami Dolphins and Indianapolis Colts. For the first time, the billion dollar sports league from the USA will be visiting Frankfurt for regular season games. Tens of thousands of fans will flock to the city for the two NFL games – Chiefs vs. Dolphins and Patriots vs. Colts – and help bring an expected millions of dollars to the city coffers.
The tickets for the NFL games in Frankfurt were sold out within minutes despite the high prices. On November 5, the Kansas City Chiefs will meet the Miami Dolphins at Eintracht Frankfurt Stadium. The New England Patriots will play the Indianapolis Colts on November 12th. In both games millions in revenue are guaranteed.
Frankfurt Mayor Mike Josef said he was optimistic about the upcoming NFL games Sports Illustrated Deutschland. He stressed that alongside the sporting events, there would also be celebrations around the games where fans would not show any restraint in their private investments to enjoy the whole experience. NFL games in Frankfurt could generate millions in revenue
Mayor Josef would expect similar income as in Munich. At the 2022 NFL-Germany game in the Allianz Arena, spectators and fans in the city would have spent around 333 euros per person. The game between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Seattle Seahawks would have had an economic effect of 70 million euros.
Of the total of 70 million euros in Munich, 32.2 million euros would go to direct expenses related to the NFL game. In comparison, the average spending of regular tourists in Munich would be around 225 euros per day. The economic and social impact of the first NFL game in Germany was enormous.
Frankfurt’s Mayor Josef expects up to 80 million euros
Mayor Mike Josef shares the desire for a similar effect. He refers to the figures in Munich and London, where during a weekend in the value chain, between 30 and 40 million euros were spent, especially for overnight stays and food. These numbers would serve as a basis for expectations regarding the economic impact of NFL games in Frankfurt.
