The announcement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in detail
The fine of 13,121,781 euros imposed on a beach bar in Panormos Mykonos was notified today (7/7) to the company and certified to the competent DOU.
The fine had been imposed, following an autopsy carried out by a joint control unit of the Ministry of Environment and Energy, on 4.4.2023.
The company proceeded with demolitions by its own means, submitting a relevant responsible declaration to the Construction Service of Syros Ermoupolis.
A Building Inspector was appointed, who on 9.6.2023 who carried out an inspection, found that arbitrary constructions had been demolished in two KAEK (National Land Registry Code Numbers).
This conclusion has been forwarded to the municipality with the reminder, which is in line with a relevant decision of the Athens Administrative Court of Appeal, that in any case the license to operate businesses within the above KAEK cannot depend on other KAEK, in which there are arbitrary constructions. Nor can the operation of the business be extended to them.
In the event that the business is opened illegally, a check will be made, immediately, to see if the conditions for the operation are met and if a part of the area, which has arbitrary constructions, is used. The law will be applied without, absolutely, any discount.
