Even away from activities, attacking midfielder Soteldo signed this Friday the new contract with Santos valid until June 2027. The player’s loan contract ended earlier this week and he now permanently belongs to Peixe.
After the player’s removal for indiscipline last week, Santos even tried to cancel the purchase contract with Tigres, from Mexico, but the Mexicans did not accept to receive Soteldo back and valued the purchase option exercised by Santos three weeks ago .
Santos is now trying to negotiate the player with the international market, as he participated in seven games in the Brazilian Championship and can no longer defend another club in the competition.
To stay with Soteldo permanently, Santos will pay Tigres around R$ 20 million in four installments, the first of which will be in September of this year.
