The presentation of two new Changan products – the Avatr 11 electric crossover and the Lamore sedan – will be held in Russia next week.

The cars will be shown to the general public for the first time as part of the Innoprom-2023 exhibition, which will open its doors in Yekaterinburg on July 10. Judging by the program of the forum, the main activities at the Changan booth will take place on July 11, when the Russian-Chinese EXPO will take place.

What models will the company present?
Both announced new items are quite fresh even by Chinese standards. The crossover was introduced in China in April last year, and the sedan at the end of December.

Electric crossover Avatr 11
Avatr 11 is a product of Changan, Huawei and CATL. The electric crossover has large dimensions (4880 x 1970 x 1601 mm) and a very unusual design. The company calls the crossover kupeobrazny, but the trunk lid here rises almost like a sedan. Frameless doors can be opened and closed electrically, and a digital panel is hidden under the windshield from the outside. On it, for example, a welcome message for the driver can be displayed.
Thanks to the electromobility layout, it was possible to make two trunks: front and rear. The initial modifications of the Avatr 11 are equipped with a single electric motor on the rear axle (313 hp and 370 Nm), the more expensive versions are equipped with twin-engine all-wheel drive (578 hp and 650 Nm).

There are two batteries to choose from: 90 and 116 kWh. Depending on the modification, the declared mileage ranges from 555 to 705 km on the CLTC cycle.
The crossover can have a 4- or 5-seat interior, and in any case, its design is extremely unusual. What is only one front panel with a subwoofer exposed, which looks like a volcano. Of course, the car has a lot of modern advanced systems, sensors and cameras.

In China, Avatr 11 costs from 320 to 410 thousand yuan (4-5.2 million rubles), and its exclusive version called 011 is estimated at 600 thousand (7.6 million rubles).

Changan Lamore does not look so outrageous, but it is also interesting. The sedan is close in size to the Chery Arrizo 8 and Dongfeng Shine Max, and its design echoes the models of the Uni line: there is a branded frameless radiator grille and retractable door handles. Dimensions Lamore: 4770 x 1840 x 1440 mm.
The interior architecture is also stylistically similar to the Uni line: a 10.25-inch dashboard screen is located above the flattened oval steering wheel, and a large selector is responsible for switching gearbox modes. In the center of the front panel is a large screen of a multimedia system with a vertical orientation (13.2 inches). There are four configurations to choose from, more details about the equipment of the sedan “Chinese cars” have already been told.

Lamore’s equipment is typical for Chinese cars of this class – a 1.5-liter turbo engine (170 hp and 260 Nm), a 7-speed “robot” and front-wheel drive. Of course, this car is noticeably cheaper than the Avatr. In China, they ask for it from 87,900 to 107,900 yuan (1.12-1.37 million rubles).
Changan lineup could grow to 17 vehicles
Changan’s model range is already the widest in Russia. With the advent of two new products, the number of presented cars will increase from 13 to 15. Moreover, the CS75 Plus crossover should soon replenish the line. His silhouette has already appeared on the official website marked “soon”.
Recall that Chinese Automobiles wrote about the appearance of Avatr 11 and Lamore in Russia back in April. From the declassified Changan model plan, almost all the new items have already entered the Russian market. Another should be the Raeton Plus sedan. Thus, the product range can grow up to 17 models, if the cars that are relevant today remain on sale.
