This is the 16th edition of Different Sounds in Lublin, and the 10th as part of the East of Culture. The event allows you to meet the most interesting musical phenomena on the border of various genres, traditions and cultural influences. It offers ambitious, unconventional music that seeks new solutions. This is one of the most inspiring and revealing music events in Poland, which allows you to hear, in the heart of Lublin, world stars and musical discoveries.

So far, the Other Sounds stage has featured, among others: such artists as: Einstürzende Neubauten, Goldfrapp, Nouvelle Vague, Mulatu Astatke, Tuxedomoon, Juno Reactor, Tortoise, Shibusashirazu Orchestra, Tony Allen, UK Subs, Asian Dub Foundation, Yat-Kha, The Tiger Lilies, Easy Star All Stars and trio Aksak with the legend of the German avant-garde Eberhard Kranemann.

The list of this year’s stars is opened by the legendary British band Ladytron. Stian Westerhus will also appear in Lublin. Another event will undoubtedly be the performance of one of the leading formations of the German avant-garde scene, i.e. the To Rococo Rot trio. In this year’s program, it is also worth paying attention to Dead Cat in a Bag and the rising star of the London independent scene – Nuha Ruby Ra.

Other Sounds is not just music. The rich and multi-threaded program also abounds in events for lovers of ambitious cinema (film screenings), literature (book premieres) and contemporary art (poster exhibitions, street photography, design).
