Participatory Budget Vote Opens in Grenoble: Choose from 26 Projects

The vote for the participatory budget opens this Sunday, July 9. It will be open until September 18. Residents of Grenoble will be able to choose from among the 26 projects proposed by residents or associations.

To vote, you must: be over 16 years old, live in Grenoble OR be registered on the electoral lists of Grenoble OR pay local taxes in Grenoble, bring an identity document.

Voters are invited to select six projects. They can do so on the internet: budgetparticipatif.grenoble.fr. But also during neighborhood events, Summer Oh parks! or the Cabaret Frappé, in the Maisons des habitants Chorier Berriat, Center Ville, Anatole-France, Capuche, Abbaye, Teisseire-Malherbe, Le Patio, Prémol and at the Maison des associations during usual opening hours. The results will be known on Tuesday, September 19 at the Town Hall (counting from 2 p.m., announcement of the results at 6:30 p.m.).

Note that initially, 30 ideas were selected, only 26 are put to the vote. The amount of the project “self-managed study room in the former Museum of Painting” exceeded the budget by 1.8 million euros of the total envelope of the participatory budget and a project is already underway in this place. There was no place to carry out the project “Create an indoor space for rollerblading”. The “Bee Safe” project is not feasible for legal reasons. Finally, the promoter of the “Let’s make our sidewalks safe” project wishes to continue thinking about the solution he wishes to propose for the city.
