Libreville, July 07, 2023 (AGP) – The U20 national team of Gabon must win, this Friday (3 p.m.), against the Central African Republic (CAR), to take control of the pool and put pressure on Congo and DR Congo , who will face each other at the beginning of the evening (6 p.m.).
The U20 Panthers of Gabon have a date with history this Friday, during the final day of competition at the Stade des Martyrs in Kinshasa. The players of coach Anicet Yala must imperatively win against their Central African counterparts to temporarily take the lead in the group with seven (7) points and heal their goal differential which is (+1) for the moment.
It will then be necessary to follow with great attention, an hour later, the derby “of the two banks of the river”, between Congo (4pts +2) and the Democratic Republic of Congo (3pts +0).
Gabon will win the title if they win against CAR and DR Congo achieve the same result against Congo or draw.
