Wiener Städtische Versicherung Pays 30 Million Euros for Storm Damage, Expects Increase in Coming Months

Wiener Städtische Versicherung has already paid out around 30 million euros for storm damage this year. The high season for floods, hail and storms is only just beginning. “In September we will know how things went,” says Ralph Müller, Head of Insurance, expecting an increase in the near future. Since 2010, Wiener Städtische has paid out 1.1 billion euros to its policyholders, in 2021 it was over 200 million euros, in the previous year 120 million euros – even though the coverage per household is relatively low.
