Singer Yoon-hyeok (38, real name Lee Yoon-hyuk) from the group December is known to be on trial for another fraud charge from the one previously charged with fraud of 800 million won.
According to Yonhap News, Yoon’s lawyer said at the first trial held on the 7th at the hearing of the 15th Criminal Division of the Incheon District Court (Chief Judge Ryu Ho-joong), “I do not deny the charges, but I will reveal my opinion at a later date.”
He continued, “There is another criminal case trial in progress at the Incheon District Court for the defendant, so I would like it to be combined and tried.” He was indicted for fraud in February and received his first trial on the 8th of last month.
The judge responded to Yoon’s request by saying, “I will review it.”
Yoon was arrested and charged with fraud under the Act on the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Economic Crimes. He is accused of embezzling about 870 million won by inducing investments from his acquaintances from July to December of last year.
He told his acquaintances, ‘I run a business distributing cosmetics in China. It was revealed that he induced the investment by saying, “If you invest, I will return 30% of the original amount within 2 to 3 weeks.”
On February 5, 2017, around 4:00 pm, Mr. Yoon was caught driving in a drunken state around Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam-gu, and was caught by the police. At the time, he was booked without detention because his driver’s license was revoked for drunk driving in the past.
