TARBES – Slovenian cyclist Tadej Pogačar from the UAE Team Emirates team won Thursday’s 6th stage of the Tour de France. In the second mountain stage of the 100th edition, he triumphed after leaving Dane Jonas Vingegaard behind in the final climb with a deficit of more than 24 seconds.

Slovakian Petr Sagan was classified in 155th place with a deficit of 32:24 minutes to the winner. He is currently in 137th place overall with a loss of 1:28:08 h. After the difficult hilly stage, the Slovak cyclist was in a good mood.

“We were quite lucky that it didn’t rain all day, because now it’s starting, so I’m probably going to the bus already (laughs). I had difficult memories at the Tourmalet. One year I was very rough and barely survived there. Today was better, “ with his usual humor Sagan told RTVS.
