At the same time, the Ukrainian defenders did not allow the enemy to move around the city and hit the enemy positions with fire.
On July 4, the spokesman of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Andriy Kovalev, said that north and south of the city of Bakhmut, the Defense Forces continued to put pressure on the enemy, to throw him out of previously captured lines, and to consolidate the reached lines. He added that the enemy was putting up fierce resistance, suffering heavy losses.
In an interview published on ABC News on July 3, Sirsky said that the Ukrainian armed forces will be able to retake Bakhmut from the Russian invaders, UNIAN reports.
