Announced close to the EAG for a few days, Amadou Sagna (24 years old, 1.76 m) joined the Breton club until June 2026. This Thursday morning, the Senegalese even participated in his first training session, conforming in particular to endurance work. But, arriving only Thursday, he will not participate in the opposition on Saturday (3 p.m.), against the SCO of Angers, in Ploufragan (and behind closed doors). “We don’t want to take any risks,” said Stéphane Dumont, EAG’s coach.
Amadou Sagna arrives from Niort where he discovered Ligue 2 during the previous exercise. Author of four achievements and seven assists, he left the Chamois only a year after his arrival, in return for a transfer.
Amadou Sagna (24) will be able to rediscover the Côtes d’Armor since he walked on Fred Aubert’s lawn with Stade Briochin during the 2021-2022 season. Before discovering the French championships, the player trained in Cayor Foot in Senegal took his first steps on European courts in Belgium. First in Bruges, then in Ostend on loan before joining the antechamber of the Jupiler Pro League, in the club NXT. At the latter, the U20 international was loaned to Saint-Brieuc then he joined Niort where his contract ran until 2025 before signing with En Avant. After Jonathan Iglesias (34 years old, 1.70m) and Florent Duparchy (23 years old, 1.87m), he is the third recruit in the Guingamp squad led by Stéphane Dumont.
