One of the special highlights of the summer festivals is the Déryné Festival, which takes place between July 19 and 23 in the picturesque locations of Sátoraljaújhely and its surroundings. The Déryné Társulat is prepared with classical and reading theater performances, children’s programs, but the program also includes a dazzling folk dance performance and the rock opera István, a király.
Among others, the Csík band, Budapest Jazz Orchestra, Besh o droM and Bohemian Betyars will perform. The event, which features more than 70 free programs, will host the KultCamp camp for the first time this year. Thanks to the cooperation between the KultUp program launched by the Déryné Program and the Rákóczi Association, 450 high school students come to Sátoraljaújhely from here and beyond the border.
