Paris Saint-Germain have secured the next top star on a free transfer. After Milan Škriniar, the French also announced the signing of Marco Asensio on Thursday. The 27-year-old Spaniard last played seven years for Real Madrid.

Paris Saint-Germain are stepping on the gas in the transfer market. After the French champions had already announced the commitment of central defender Milan Škriniar on Thursday morning, the next firm message followed in the early afternoon: Marco Asensio is also coming to PSG. As with Škriniar, no fee will be charged for the Spain international. Asensio’s contract with Real Madrid had expired. In Paris, the 27-year-old signs a new working paper until 2026.

Asensio meets his former national coach Luis Enrique at the French industry leader. The 53-year-old, who coached Asensio in two engagements on the Spain sidelines, was unveiled as the new PSG coach on Wednesday. In Asensio, his team gains a variable offensive player who can be used on both wings and in the tenth position. Among other things, Asensio could help fill the gap left by the departure of world champion Lionel Messi.
PSG fourth professional stop for Marc Asensio
PSG is the fourth station for Asensio in the professional business. The Mallorcan-born started his career at RCD Mallorca before joining Real in 2015, but was immediately loaned out to Espanyol Barcelona for a year. This was followed by seven years with the “Royals”, in which Asensio won three Champions League titles, among other things. In 286 competitive games for Real, he scored 61 goals and provided 32 assists.
