Digital Central Bank Currencies (MNBCs) are becoming a reality around the world, with more than 110 countries currently exploring the possibility of using “digital money”.
Standards are being set for privacy, cybersecurity and the fight against illicit financing. Thus, any jurisdiction wishing to contribute to these standards must understand the complex trade-offs involved in creating an MNBC and actively participate in global cross-border trials.
