Iran, Belarus and North Korea remain the countries that provide the largest military aid to Russia. Brigadier General Oleksiy Khromov, deputy chief of the Main Operations Directorate of the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, said this in an interview with the Ukrinform agency, BTA reports.
“Countries such as Iran, Belarus and North Korea remain among the largest suppliers of military aid to the Russian Federation. In addition, some former Soviet republics contribute to the import of high-tech components for the production of modern weapons and military equipment on the territory of the Russian Federation,” said Chrome.
At the same time, according to him, it is possible that the cooperation between the armed forces of Russia and China will continue. “On the one hand, a weakened Russia is a guarantee of Moscow’s amenability to Beijing’s policy, in other words, the direction of Russia’s international and military activity will correspond to China’s interests. On the other hand, Beijing is interested in studying combat experience of the Russian army, which has been accumulated in military actions against Western weapons systems and weapons,” the general explained.
At the same time, Khromov noted that China has primary economic interests both in North and South America and in Africa. “Under these circumstances, the improvement of relations between China and the United States may slow down the pace of Russian-Chinese military cooperation,” Khromov added.
