The group “Alko” of Dobelniek Agra Siksnas and Leonidas Plaunova has re-released the composition “Cigarete” created in 2018. “With this song, I wanted to show that true love is superior to all the complications of life,” comments Leonidas, the author of the song’s music and lyrics.
Despite the name of the song (and also of the band), its message is much sharper and poignant – it is also well illustrated by the video made by Kaspars Kambar.
The song was mixed and mastered by the project’s guitarist Agris Siksna, who previously worked in such groups as “Lapsenes bize” (or “Wasptress”), “Legacy ID”, etc. On the other hand, Leonids Plaunovs, cooperating with well-known representatives of various other music genres, works in the “Paracetamol” project. who have so far released compositions together with the leader of the group “Urbix” Normunds Steffenhagen, the vocalist of “Kumosiņa” Andi Jēkabson, the soloist of “Riga Reggae” Horen Stalbi and others.
The “Alko” group was founded in 1992 in Dobele by the union of project leader Agris Siksnas and Leonidas Plaunovas. It is interesting that the two worked together in the ensemble “Auri nav bliauri” during school, which also included Lauris Reiniks.
