Summer is in full swing, and unless an asteroid hits Earth during it, we can certainly expect a batch of new iPhones at the end of it. This year’s generation of apple phones should copy last year’s, there are a total of 4 models in preparation:

This year’s iPhones should receive standard intergenerational improvements such as a more powerful chipset or better cameras, in addition to the long-awaited replacement of the Lightning port for the more universal USB-C. There should also be an increase in endurance per charge – according to the server ITHome Apple plans to significantly increase the battery capacity of all models.

In the past, Apple has never boasted about the capacity of batteries, in the detailed parameters it always states only endurance. The capacity is thus only revealed in retrospect by specialized applications or breakdowns of individual models. If the prediction of the ITHome server is confirmed, we should expect an intergenerational increase in the range of 12-18%:

The basic iPhone 15 should see the biggest move forward, while the iPhone 15 Pro Max (Ultra) will reportedly see the smallest jump. In his case, the smaller shift is understandable – this phone is the only one of the four to get a new periscopic camera, which will require extra space in the phone’s body.
Interestingly, none of this year’s iPhones will break the 5,000 mAh mark, which is an unwritten standard in the Android world. On the other hand, Apple’s advantage is the efficient chips of its own design, and the iOS platform optimized for them. iPhones, even with smaller batteries, can surpass the competition in terms of endurance.
According to ITHome, this year Apple plans to increase not only battery capacity, but also storage capacity for the Pro series. The iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max should have at least 256GB of memory, the basic iPhone 15 and 15 Plus should still have 128GB of storage.
The premiere of this year’s iPhones should take place in the traditional September date, together with the new phones, Apple should also reveal the new generation of Apple Watch.
