TRENČÍN – English hockey player Scott Conway has become a new member of HK Dukla Trenčín. The 28-year-old striker, who also has Canadian citizenship, comes from the Belfast Giants, the reigning champions of the domestic top league (EIHL).
Conway dominated the league’s productivity last year and was the competition’s top scorer with 40 goals. In total, he collected up to 90 points (40+50) in 51 games. After the season, he was declared the best striker and player of the league. The centre-forward has been in Belfast since the 2021/22 season, which the Giants also ended with a title win.
In his career, he played three seasons in the prestigious American college NCAA. Subsequently, he also tried the farm AHL, in which he started 13 duels. He also worked in the lower ECHL, where he collected 55 points (30+25) in 84 games. Conway represented Great Britain at the World Cup in 2022, in seven duels he credited 2 assists.
