The Spanish Association of Consumers (Asecon) has carried out a study on the appointments for the renewal of the DNI to know the days of waiting throughout the whole of Spain during the summer, a report from which it is inferred that Córdoba is one of the Spanish cities where faster it is to get an appointment to renew the card. According to Asecon, in the province there are only three days to wait to get a free space in the offices where this procedure can be carried out.
From the association they point out that, in previous years, citizens have expressed their complaints regarding the appointment for the renewal of the DNI in the summer months. Although “it is true that in many places in Spain the situation has improved a lot, with appointments even from one day to the next, in other provinces there are real problems for the renewal of the DNI with deadlines that in the case of Gerona exceed two months and in other cities, such as Vigo, Santiago de Compostela or Pontevedra, the bimonthly period is close to ”.
This clearly harms, the association continues, “the interests of many citizens who need said renewal to carry out procedures or who may have lost or been victims of a robbery and need documentation to travel.” Of the entire study, 54% of the cities exceed 15 days or more to obtain an appointment for the DNI.
The ones that are best are Las Palmas, Palencia, Zamora, Zaragoza, Tarragona, Valencia, Ciudad Real, Málaga, Huelva and Seville, which offer an appointment for the next day. Then Murcia and Soria follow, with two days each; Cordoba, with three; Jaén and Barcelona, with four; Granada, with six; and Cáceres with seven.
The rest of the cities exceed the waiting week in summer, distributed as follows: Badajoz and Gijón (eight), León (nine), Huesca, San Sebastián and Ávila (ten), Valladolid, Burgos and Logroño (14), Cuenca and Oviedo (15), Almería and Lugo (16), Cádiz (20), Albacete and Ceuta (21), Teruel (22), Algeciras, Melilla, Santa Cruz de Tenerife and Palma de Mallorca (23), Segovia (24) , Madrid (27), Toledo (28), Alicante and Ourense (29), Bilbao (30), Santander (31) Pamplona (34), Jerez de la Frontera (35), Castellón and Lleida (37), Guadalajara (44 ), Salamanca and Vitoria (50), Pontevedra (55), Vigo (56) and Girona (63).
