Ukraine Seizes Strategic Initiative from Russia, Military Analysts Warn

Girkin said that his forecasts remain valid and do not bode well for the Russian Federation, since the strategic initiative has been seized by Ukraine and will be in its hands for a long time to come.

Russian military propagandists continue to state the complete lack of success of the RF Armed Forces at the front against the backdrop of the development of the first preparatory phase of the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Strelkov-Girkin, a former field commander of the “DPR” and an ex-officer of the Russian special services, claims that units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are attacking Russian positions in several sectors of the front at once, including the Orekhov region, the Vremevsky ledge, the left bank of the Dnieper near the Antonovsky bridge and the outskirts of Bakhmut.

In his Telegram channel, Girkin writes that Ukrainian units are inflicting powerful missile strikes on military facilities in the Russian rear, where the Makeevka warehouse with occupiers’ ammunition was blown up the day before. Moreover, according to him, his early forecasts remain valid and do not bode well for Russia, since the strategic initiative has been completely intercepted by Ukraine and will be in its hands for a long time to come.

At the same time, the Russian army has lost the ability to conduct offensive operations due to the lack of manpower and weapons.

“Our troops are not capable of attacking due to a lack of forces and means, so the enemy will have the strategic initiative for a long time to come”he said.

Recall that analysts from ISW spoke about the big problems of Putin’s army on Bakhmut direction.
