Member of the RNG roster Valuing Ali Swerl Kobrai claims he was racially abused during Valorant Champions China qualifiers. This happened during the RNG series against Monarch Effect. He shared the information on Twitter.
Kobrai said that during the pause between matches, people dressed in Monarch Effect T-shirts called him a monkey and made characteristic sounds. According to Swerl, it could be managers or other employees of the opposite team. Kobrai’s teammate confirmed the esportsman’s words on Twitter, but deleted the post.
Swerl turned to the organizers of the tournament – they launched an investigation. The esportsman had to delete the original post with the statement. At the time of publication of the material, RNG, Monarch Effect and Riot Games did not comment on the situation.
