The National Coordinator for Disaster Reduction (Conred) maintains a response and reaction to incidents caused by the rains in the country.
Conred’s strategic intervention teams were deployed to different locations. This in order to support local authorities in the assessment of damage and analysis of needs caused by the rains.

According to the entity, one of the objectives is to strengthen information management processes. With the aim of making decisions due to incidents due to the 2022 rainy season.
In the last hours, floods, structural collapses, landslides, undermining and landslides were reported.

- 436 thousand 497 affected
- 694 victims
- 1,585 evacuees
- 3 thousand 627 people served
- 3 wounded and 13 dead
Unfortunately, the deceased were reported in the departments of Alta and Baja Verapaz, Escuintla, Guatemala, Suchitepéquez, Zacapa, Totonicapán and Quetzaltenango.

The Conred report up to this Monday, July 3, also details that during the rainy season, 183 homes have been reported at risk. In addition to 39 homes with slight damage, 615 with moderate damage and 40 homes with severe damage.
Likewise, 11 schools affected, 222 registered incidents, 66 roads affected, 6 buildings damaged, 4 bridges affected and one destroyed.

La Conred reported that during the last 24 hours several events derived from the rains have been reported nationwide.
Among these is a flood in San José La Máquina, Suchitepéquez, which affected 19 people in the place.
