Now, a new elite footballer will join them after making the decision to join CR7’s Al Nassr over other offers he had on the table such as Barcelona. After playing the Champions League final with Inter, Marcelo Brozovic packed his bags and said goodbye to Serie A.

“Do not worry. I’m here. I have chosen Al Nassr, ”said the Croatian international midfielder in the official announcement of his signing for the Saudi team, in which he will join the Portuguese to face a new campaign.

At 30 years old, coming from the Neroazurri for around 18 million euros, according to different media (the Saudi club has not revealed the amounts and Inter has not yet made it official), the footballer became the latest acquisition of the emerging and millionaire Arab competition.

“Everyone wanted him, he only wanted us,” Al Nassr said on his social networks, to which Brozovic will be linked for the next two seasons, until 2026, after 330 games over eight and a half seasons with him. Inter, with whom he scored 31 goals, gave another 43 and was runner-up in Europe in 2023.

One of his suitors was FC Barcelona. However, negotiations with the Catalan team stalled because they first had to sell in order to buy. In mid-June, the Catalan newspaper Sport had reported that the culé board was thinking of offering the Ivorian Kessie to lower the costs of hiring the Croatian, something that finally seems not to have convinced the Italian leaders.

Regarding Brozovic’s career, before wearing the colors of Inter, the midfielder went through Dinamo Zagreb (the Neroazurri paid 5 million euros for his transfer), at Lokomotiva and at Hrvatski Dragovoljac in his country.
