The jackpot, the spin of the gambling wheel, stops on a board worth USD 1.3 million or around IDR 19,530,550,000. Derek’s status turned into a billionaire in a matter of hours.
“Someone just won a $1.3 million jackpot on airport slot machines,” one witness tweeted.
This happiness was also shared by the airport via Instagram and Facebook. Congratulations certainly flooded the post.
“This is one way to end vacation-as a billionaire,” the airport admin tweeted.
Gambling slot machines in terminals have generated more than $1 billion in revenue over the last 36 years, according to The Las Vegas.
This revenue goes into non-flight pockets which helps reduce our costs for airlines, while offering airline passengers a unique experience.
“Having slot gambling at airports is a perk that most travelers enjoy and look forward to,” said Scott Kichline, assistant director for airport business.
“Seeing and hearing slot gambling gives passengers an ‘Only in Vegas’ experience and when they leave they can still enjoy one more chance to catch the ‘last jackpot’.”
