“Without choral conductors, the Song Festival would not be possible! Therefore, celebrating the one hundred and fiftieth anniversary of the Song Festival, a concert will be held in Sidraba Birzs Kokaru Hall, in which choral conductors from all Latvia will participate, playing only the repertoire chosen by the concert participants themselves,” the concert description said.

The concert was held in two parts, showing the repertoire of homogeneous choirs as well as the opus of double choirs and mixed choirs, as well as outlining the vision of the future Song Festival, with future conductors playing music about love, because without the love of singing, there would be neither the Song Festival nor the tradition of choral singing.

The concert was attended by: Latvian Choral Conductors’ Choir, Jāzeps Vītolas Latvian Academy of Music Mixed Choir.

Conductors: Kaspars Ādamsons, Aira Birziņa, Mārtiņš Klišāns, Sigvard Kļava, Ints Teterovskis, Valdis Thomsons, Roman Vanags, Andris Veismanis.

The author and artistic director of the idea is Ints Teterovskis
Director Dace Puce
Lighting artist Ivars Vacers
