Already after just a few minutes of play, Kalmar got into a dream position. Nahom Netabay was played free, but finished wide.
Then it swung quickly.
Mjällby attacked and David Löfquist sent the ball in to Max Fenger who reached the highest and was able to nod in 1-0 for the home team.
Kalmar’s answer came in the 16th minute. The Mjällby defense was careless and Kalmar received an invitation. Simon Skrabb carefully stayed in front after a wrong pass and he was able to calmly put in 1-1.
Just before half time, Mjällby had a dream situation. Tom Pettersson stayed in front on a post and had a chance to make it 2-1, but shot wide.
Just a few minutes later it was time again. Noah Eile reached the highest of a cross, but headed it over the bar.
