56 requests and TAP confirmations online from the Municipality of Ioannita – online appointments

The Municipality of Ioannita is changing the page. After systematic and many months of work, he makes the new electronic platform available to the citizens as well as to his services. Henceforth – from next Wednesday – 56 requests and applications, as well as the granting of a TAP non-debt certificate will be able to be submitted and processed electronically.

The electronic services were presented during a press conference given by the Mayor Dimitris Papageorgiou and the Deputy Mayor for Digital Governance and Finance Fotis Vavvas in the presence of the special partner Vangelis Karvounis, who coordinated the digital transformation of the Municipality.

“The transformation of Ioannina into a smart city is for the Municipal Authority a strategic goal as well as a necessity, which through a well thought out and integrated plan we want to be implemented and gradually have a direct impact on the improvement of the daily life of the citizens” emphasized the Mayor Dimitris Papageorgiou and emphasized that a key pillar of the transition to the digital municipality is the development of digital tools and services that will facilitate the employees of the Municipality, but mainly the citizens.

“It is necessary to fully restructure and reorganize the internal structure of our Directorates, as well as to activate Electronic Service systems for Citizen and Business Transactions. These systems will serve the completion of the digital transformation of the basic functions of the Municipality and will operate exclusively through the internet, with the aim of being hosted in the infrastructure of the Government Cloud (G-Cloud) together with the rest of the information system of the Municipality” he underlined.

The Mayor stated that the activation of the Electronic Payments, Electronic Appointments and Reservations system has been progressing in the last six months and that the productive operation of electronic requests begins today.

An extensive presentation of the electronic services operated by the Municipality of Ioannitan was made by the deputy mayor of Digital Governance Fotis Vavvas, emphasizing that the foundations are being laid for the city to become truly smart.

From Wednesday, July 5, the electronic platform is activated for a wide range of services of the Municipality. “Our Municipality is changing the page. It is changing the page in the direction of better serving the citizen, saving human resources and upgrading the quality of the services we offer,” said Mr. Vavvas, underlining that the Municipality seeks more efficient and faster services, immediate information to the citizen in order to improve his daily life.

As he pointed out, from now on 56 requests concerning seven Directorates of the Municipality can be submitted electronically and processed electronically.

He made special mention of the request for a TAP non-debt certificate. For the municipality it was a chronic problem, as it is necessary in case of transfer of ownership of all kinds of real estate for any reason. From now on, applications will be submitted exclusively and only digitally by notaries-certified users of the system through the Municipality’s online application, and handwritten or e-mailed applications will no longer be accepted by the protocol. When the process is completed, the certificate is sent again electronically. In the event that someone has a debt, they can make the payment again electronically through the same platform and the subsystem of electronic payments.

With this electronic procedure, queues at the relevant office are avoided and citizens are served faster. As Mr. Vavvas pointed out, the processing time of requests is estimated to be reduced by at least 30%.

Mr. Vavvas thanked the Mayor, the services of the Municipality, the special partner Vangelis Karvounis, the Board of Directors for the cooperation and coordination. of the notaries of our county and the information systems company OTS for the implementation of the platform and emphasized that the goal is that by 2030 all the services provided to the citizen will be digital and intelligent.

Citizens will now be able to schedule their appointments electronically at the Department of Revenue and Property, Directorate of Financial Services of the Municipality of Ioannina.

In particular, the Municipality of Ioannina is piloting from today the comprehensive provision of electronic appointment management services, with the first appointments being booked for the month of July on Thursdays and Fridays.

The Department for the specific days will ONLY accept citizens who have booked their appointment electronically and with the obligation to have all the necessary supporting documents with them.

For the rest of the days of the week, there is no obligation to close an electronic appointment.
