You’d be forgiven if you haven’t heard of Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken, until now. It seems that, for whatever reason, DreamWorks isn’t too fond of promoting the family-friendly movie.

Despite rave reviews, Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken couldn’t find an audience, as even internationally it only grossed an additional $7.2 million. With a budget of $70 million, there’s still a long way to go to break even.
It’s the latest flop for a big-name animation studio this year, as previousPixar’s ElementalIt was also the studio’s lowest opening price.
