ChatGPT has revolutionized the tech world. All tech companies are aiming for their own version. You can now even ride an electric bicycle with such a smart chatbot.
Very nice, an electric bike with ChatGPT, but what does that actually mean? Urtopia, the manufacturer behind the innovative e-bike, presented the vehicle in a press releasebut it’s still not entirely clear what it actually means to you.
This electric bicycle has its own chatbot
The company has two e-bikes, the Carbon 1 and the newer Chord. Both bikes have built-in navigation and other functions, such as GPS tracking and a WiFi and Bluetooth connection. The Carbon even has a ‘game pad’ with voice control.
The Chord also has its own voice control, which Urtopia demonstrates in a promo video. In the video, someone asks the electric bicycle: “Who are you?” And the bike replies in a robotic voice “I am an AI language model.” And when asked why you need an e-bike, he gives a whole list of health benefits.
Not just on e-bikes
From what we’ve seen so far Urtopia’s chatbot doesn’t actually do that much. All he can do is control the display and answer your questions. Our question is therefore: what good is a chatbot when you are driving?
While this is one of the first electric bikes to use ChatGPT, it’s not the first vehicle to promise AI models on the road. Mercedes Benz announced that she will add ChatGPT to her EVs’ voice assistant. The system would allow you to talk to your car and get answers from a chatbot.
What’s the use of ChatGPT on the go?
Mercedes-Benz says ChatGPT offers more than simple answers. For example, you can also ask for details about your destination or even navigate to the nearest restaurant. The assistant can also find out whether there are traffic jams on the way and map out a detour for you.
