The security services revealed the mystery of finding a body hanging from a tree on Izbat Al-Sit Road in the village of Shubra Babel, Al-Mahalla Center today, Saturday.
The Western Security Directorate had received a notification from the agencies concerned with finding the body of a 55-year-old named “RA”, who resides in the village of Shubra Babel, which is affiliated with the center of Mahalla Al-Kubra.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the body was of a person in his fifties, who committed suicide by hanging from the top of a tree because he was going through a psychological crisis as a result of his suffering due to a chronic illness, and there is no criminal suspicion.
The state is working to provide support for mental patients through more than one hotline to help those who have psychological problems or desire to commit suicide, most notably the hotline of the General Secretariat for Mental Health, at the Ministry of Health and Population, to receive psychological inquiries and psychological support, and to support those wishing to commit suicide, through a number 08008880700, 0220816831, throughout the day, and the National Council for Mental Health has allocated a hotline to receive psychological inquiries: 20818102.
And the Egyptian Dar Al Iftaa affirmed that suicide is a major sin and a crime against the soul and the law, and the person who commits suicide is not an infidel, and the guilt of this crime should not be minimized, as well as not finding justifications and creating a state of sympathy for this matter, but rather dealing with it as a mental illness that can be treated through specialists.
