Nobuo Uematsu and Con Tiki: Live Concert at Retro Fair in Sandefjord

(PressFire.no): The annual Retro fair in Sandefjord has revealed that they are getting great visitors this year as well.

Game composer Nobuo Uematsu is coming with the band Con Tiki and will hold a concert in Hjertnes Kulturhus on Saturday 19 August.

Try our music quiz: Do you know the music from Uematsu and Kondo?

Uematsu is probably best known for the “Final Fantasy” soundtracks, but has also created music for a number of other games – especially after he left Square Enix in 2004.

The CV includes games such as “Chrono Trigger”, “Super Smash Bros. Brawl”, “Lost Odyssey” and “Last Story”, to name a few.

– Getting this to happen is really quite absurd, getting a world-class composer like Uematsu-san to Sandefjord and Retromessa is like the Beatles or Metallica playing in the local pub, says Retromesse manager Jan Olav Hegvik in a press release.

It promises music from Uematsu’s career and the opportunity to meet the game music legend. At the same time, it is also announced that game composers David Wise, known from Rare classics such as “Donkey Kong Country”, “Diddy Kong Racing” and “Star Fox Adventures”, and Jonathan Dunn from C64 publisher Ocean Software will be guests at the fair.

The retro fair, which focuses primarily on older computer and geek culture, takes place in Sandefjord on 19 and 20 August.
