In the province of Utrecht, a coalition agreement has been reached between GroenLinks, VVD, D66, CDA and PvdA. With this agreement, the five parties will commit themselves “for a sustainable, healthy, green and enterprising province of Utrecht where current and future generations can live happily”.
The agreement and the intended deputies will be presented on 5 July at Groeneveld Castle in Baarn. There will also be an explanation of the themes included in the coalition agreement, which is called ‘Getting started for Utrecht’.
The new coalition is good for 25 of the 49 seats. BBB and GroenLinks previously tried to reach a coalition, but those talks failed on the energy transition, among other things. Both parties each have seven seats and are the two largest in the States of Utrecht.
