Jakarta –
Ponorogo residents were shocked by road blocking by a land owner. The walled road on Jalan Gajah Mada, Ponorogo has an impact on 13 family cards (KK) of local residents.
Quoted from detikJatim, the walling had lasted for nine days. So, what is the reason for the road blocking? Check out the following explanation.
Circulating a video of residents who own land in Ponorogo blocking residents’ access by walling the road that residents normally go through. As a result, dozens of families (KK) were isolated, unable to enter and leave.
In the video, a voice recorder can be heard saying that the location occurred at RT 01 RW 07, Bangunsari sub-district, Jalan Gajah Mada, Ponorogo. There were 13 families affected by the walling of the alley. As for the description in the video, it is written in big words ‘ponorogo GEGER TULUNG PAK REGENT’.
“The road that is closed is 13 KK. This is the road. Where are you going to go through the road when you come here, the road. Can you pass the car, how is the road? How do you feel, Jalan Gajah Mada, Ponorogo (The road that is closed is 13 KK. This is the road the road. Then where do you want to pass if this is the case. The motorbike can’t pass that way, how do you feel, Jalan Gajah Mada, Ponorogo)” said the voice of the recorder as in the video circulating.

13 Affected HHs
The affected residents could not do anything because it was suspected that the walling was done by the owner of the alley land. A total of 13 households were affected by the road blocking.
Afan, one of the residents who was affected, said that initially the alley was divided into two roads, namely the west and east sides. Meanwhile, the walled road on the east side.
Residents who want to go to Jalan Gajah Mada have to turn around on the farther west side. The reason is because the nearest access in the alley on the east side has been walled by the landowner.
“Initially the road was divided into two, west and east. However, the eastern land owner, Robi, closed the road with a wall,” said Afan, Thursday (6/29/2023).
Afan admitted that he was surprised by Robi’s attitude, which ultimately made it difficult for residents consisting of 13 families. In fact, the land owner on the west side has given up his land for road access.
“Even though the National Land Agency explained that the road is divided into west and east. The owner of the western part is sincere, so Robi, who is on the eastern part, has exactly the same attitude, so what,” said Afan.
There is Another Way, but Narrower and Farther
The blockade on Jalan Gajah Mada shocked local residents. Apparently, there are still two other accesses that can be used by residents so that residents are not completely isolated.
The first access is narrower and can only be accessed on foot, while the second access can be accessed by motorbike but you have to make a long detour. Meanwhile, the walled access road is the main access that can be passed by motorbikes and is close to the main road.
According to residents, the road that is now covered with walls is the easiest access. Because, it can be reached by foot or motorbike and quickly reaches the main highway, Jalan Gajah Mada.
“We had to go through a small alley that could only be passed on foot, in front of the RT’s house,” said one of the residents, Aat Nugroho.
