KOMPAS.com – The Governor of West Java (West Java), Ridwan Kamil, again bid farewell to his citizens towards the end of his term of office.
This statement was conveyed by Ridwan Kamil in his speech after the implementation of the Eid Al-Adha Prayer 1444 Hijri at the Great Mosque of Al Jabbar, Bandung, West Java, Thursday (29/6/2023).
Two months before his term of office ends, the man who is familiarly called Emil hopes that his performance for the last 5 years will be accepted by the community.
“I also ask to say goodbye as governor of West Java for the 2018-2023 period, because later on Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha next year, of course there will be a new acting governor,” said Ridwan Kamil, quoted from Tribunnews.com, Saturday (1/7/2023).
Emil also asked the public to pray for one another and maintain the achievements that have been achieved by the Province of West Java.

“Whatever it is, we pray for each other and we take care of the good things, West Java’s achievements,” said Ridwan Kamil.
Apart from saying goodbye, on that occasion Ridwan Kamil also handed over a simmental type of sacrificial cow weighing nearly 1 ton.
Previously, Ridwan Kamil had also apologized and said goodbye to the people of West Java, to be precise when delivering the Eid al-Fitr 1444 H prayer at the Great Mosque of Al Jabbar, on Saturday (22/4/2023).
At that time, Ridwan Kamil said, this year was his last year with the Deputy Governor of West Java, Uu Ruzhanul Ulum, serving as leader of the West Java Province.
Apart from apologizing for all the shortcomings while he was in office, Ridwan Kamil also reported that West Java had received 510 awards during his leadership period.
“At the same time I said goodbye to Pak Uu, because this might be the last Eid together, because in the next years we don’t know what God’s destiny is like,” said Ridwan Kamil.
“But at least today we apologize and say goodbye, hopefully the people of West Java can accept the pluses and minuses of what we have dedicated,” he concluded.
