The UN contributed to the introduction of easing in the sanctions package adopted by Western countries against Russia. This is reported TASSreferring to the press service of the world organization.
As follows from the report, which is devoted to the implementation of the grain deal, “The UN facilitated the issuance of US 6B and 6 °C master licenses, two UK master licenses for financial and trade aspects in the field of products and fertilizers, as well as easing in the ninth package of EU sanctions against Russia” .
It is noted that steps were taken in the field of export of agricultural products – to facilitate the access of Russian products and fertilizers to world markets.
Now the UN is working on finding solutions that will remove obstacles to the supply of Russian products and fertilizers to African countries.
Recall that 11 packages of sanctions have been imposed on the Russian Federation by the EU.
The “grain deal” was concluded in the summer of 2022 with Ukraine with the participation of the UN and Turkey. It involves opening ports in Ukraine for the export of agricultural products, as well as unblocking the export of food and fertilizers of the Russian Federation. Moscow put forward a condition for a further extension of the deal, demanding that Rosselkhozbank be reconnected to SWIFT. However, the European Union refused to do so. The Russian Foreign Ministry warned that July 18 would be the time for the completion of the deal.
