A car overtaking on a continuous center line hit three other cars. Miraculously, no one was seriously injured.
The road accident happened around 10:30 p.m. on Friday evening on E-79 after Blagoevgrad in the direction of Simitli, about 500 m after the roundabout, connection between E-79 and the Struma highway, BGNES reports.
When overtaking, the passenger car hits first an Opel, then it hits the side of the truck, then another passenger car, and the fourth one flips onto the roof.
The road remained closed for more than three hours. The cargo trucks were waiting on the spot, and a bypass route was introduced for the cars through Dolno Tserovo to Strumsko quarter in Blagoevgrad.
There was a fuel spill from the tank of the lorry that was hit, there were no serious injuries or hospitalizations, but two vehicles sustained extensive material damage.
