Pablo Mari’s Permanent Move to Serie A Monza After Knife Attack – Latest News and Updates

Pablo Mari has officially made the permanent move from Arsenal to Serie A Monza for €6m after a loan spell that included a knife attack at a supermarket.

The defender turns 30 in August and this was his second experience in Serie A after playing for Udinese on loan from January to June 2022.

He returned last summer for Monza and made 30 Serie A appearances, scoring one goal, as well as one Coppa Italia match.

However, during the loan period, Pablo Mari turned out to be one of several people randomly stabbed in an October 2022 supermarket attack near Milan by a local suffering from psychiatric problems.

The knife struck him in the back and required surgery, but luckily it was unable to hit any vital organs or arteries.

He was originally expected to be out for several months, but returned to the stadium the following week to greet fans, then returned to the field in December.
