Ebut.pl Stal Gorzów started the match against Platinum Motor Lublin with a strong blow, but with each subsequent race the air escaped from the visiting team. Bartosz Zmarzlik was merciless to his former employer. The world champion again scored full points.
Fans of Platinum Motor Lublin received good news a few hours before the match with ebut.pl Stala Gorzów – Dominik Kubera returned to the “Koziołków” squad. One of the leaders of the Lublin team has been treating a spinal injury in recent weeks, which he contracted during the Polish GP at PGE Narodowy in Warsaw.
Riding in an optimal composition made the current Polish champion a definite favorite of Friday’s skirmish. The Gorzów team became famous this year for their “beautiful” defeats, and if Martin Vaculik, Szymon Woźniak and Anders Thomsen played effectively, the fans could count on an even clash. The proof of this was the first race in which Vaculik-Woźniak won twice.
Platinum Motor Lublin did not wait long with a counter-attack, and Bartosz Zmarzlik deserved it. It was the three-time world champion in heat number three who harassed Anders Thomsen for three laps to finally tire the Dane and, in the process, work out a position for Fredrik Lindgren. In this way, the hosts took the lead 10:8, which they did not give up until the end of the match.

Mathias Pollestad also had his moment. The Norwegian, who this time got a chance to ride in ebut.pl Stal Gorzów as a U24 rider, led for two laps in heat six, until he finally capitulated under the pressure of Bartosz Zmarzlik’s attacks.
The ninth run should be considered the key moment of the match. At the entrance to the first bend, Szymon Woźniak hit the rear wheel of Jarosław Hampel, lost control of the motorcycle and hit Mathias Pollestad. The national leader ebut.pl Stal was excluded from the replay, in which the inhabitants of Lublin won a double victory. Leading 32:22 clearly indicated that Platinum Motor did not intend to give up the win in this match.
The closer it was to the end of the competition, the less support Vaculik had in his colleagues. Thomsen was fast, but it did not always translate into points, and Wozniak did not appear on the track after the fall. The hosts, on the other hand, were a team in the true sense of the word. As a result, we already knew the winner of Friday’s match before the nominated races – Platinum Motor was leading 45:33 at that moment.
Ultimately, the hosts won 52:38, but it will not be an exaggeration to say that “Koziołki” still have reserves. Dominik Kubera in the first game after the injury scored 7 points and a bonus, and he can undoubtedly do better. A slightly weaker performance was also recorded by Jack Holder, who scored 5 “eyes”.
