DRACHTEN – The police seized about 25 – mainly electric – bicycles in Drachten on Friday. Two scooters, various bicycle batteries and tools were also taken. It is suspected that all these goods originated from theft.
Report stolen bike
The discovery was made in response to a report of a stolen bicycle at a home on Lidlum. When the officers arrived there, they found the stolen bicycle. An investigation was carried out on site and several bicycles were found to have been stolen.
Truck full
A truck from the municipality of Smallingerland arrived on site and loaded about 25 bicycles and two scooters. These will be taken to the police station and an investigation will have to show whether all these bicycles and scooters originate from theft. The origin is also being investigated.
