Anticor in Eure-et-Loir: Alleged Blackmail Case Involving Chief of Staff of Mayor of Chartres

The referent of Anticor in Eure-et-Loir suspected of attempted blackmail on the chief of staff of the mayor of Chartres. He would have threatened to make revelations about Jean-Pierre Gorges if he did not obtain benefits in kind such as a car or housing. The citizens’ association which fights against corruption and which promotes ethics in politics has suspended its referent. A correctional hearing is scheduled for January 29, 2024, at the Court of Justice of Chartres. He faces five years in prison and a €75,000 fine.

The suspect denies the facts, and explains that he “discovered things and was trapped. It is a gag procedure aimed at silencing me, ”he said in Le Parisien.
