The night was once again hot and eventful in the Dijon agglomeration after the death of Nahel in Nanterre. New urban violence shook different neighborhoods.
A growing toll in Côte-d’Or

In the Grésilles district, rioters even disembarks passengers and driver from a bus hydrogen fuel before setting the vehicle on fire, triggering an explosion that caused no casualties. Following this event, the prefect contacted the management of Divia. Following a meeting with the mayors and the Dijon public transport service, it was decided to interrupt the bus and tram service from 7:30 p.m. this Friday evening and throughout the weekend.
Attempts to break into schools
The prefect also announces that there have been four attempts to break into schools in the Dijon metropolitan area on the evening of Thursday, June 29. But the representative of the State did not wish to specify which establishments are concerned, nor in which municipalities. Franck Robine explains that he contacted the mayors concerned.

Garbage cans were also set on fire and the gendarmes’ helicopter flew over the city for a good part of the evening. Two people were arrested in the evening, but one of them was released and there were no injuries during the night.
A prohibited demonstration this Friday evening
A demonstration at the call of the Solidaires 21 union against racism and police violence was planned for this Friday evening at Place Darcy in Dijon at 8 p.m. Given the context, Franck Robine has decided to ban it as well as gatherings in the city center, except in the Place de la République area.
