Friday: Closing at the Urban Art Festival
What many people don’t know: the STUWO home on the Eggenberger Gurtel has become a total work of art over the years. Blame the Urban Art Festival Styria, where international street artists have been at work again since Monday. Today from 6.30 p.m. the conclusion will be celebrated with a vernissage and music by Juan Carlos Sungurlian’s Balkanian Grooves Quartet and Dave & The Coverdudes.

A climate protection fair, a second-hand flea market and, above all, lots of music (Oskar Haag, Fred Owusu, Maia Onda, Franka Jauk …) are now on the Murinsel, at Mariahilferplatz and in the PPC. Organizers are the Greens.

Saturday: CSD parade and park festival
On Saturday, Graz is once again celebrating diversity and tolerance at the Christopher Street Day Parade – with twice as many floats as in the previous year, but with an increased police presence after the alleged attack attempts in Vienna. The meeting point for the parade is at 12 p.m. in the Erzherzog-Johann-Allee, at 2 p.m. the park festival starts in the Volksgarten Park. And in the Postgarage, the day turns into a party night with the “Official Pride Night” as a special edition of the “FAGtory Club” in the Postgarage.

From Saturday: Sport and fun on the Mur
Canoe, kayak or do you prefer SUP Yoga? From July 1st to 9th, the Mur Festival offers sports and adventures on the water. For all those who are afraid of water: “Murufer” on Saturday at the soap factory with music and street food.

Saturday and Sunday: Sterrrn Festival
In 2022, the Sterrrn Festival took place in the sculpture park, and this year it can sparkle again. The Grrrls Kulturverein invites you to the second edition in the Kombüse (Saturday evening) and in the Club Hybrid (Sunday). There will be discussions, a choir workshop and lots of music, including by Mira Lu Kovacs, vegan food – and a very special festival atmosphere.

Ab Montag: Food Festival Graz
“The ticket sales this year exceed all expectations, but of course there are still tickets left,” says Karin Marg, the new organizer of the Food Festival Graz, which will take place for a week from Monday in the capital of enjoyment – and also outside of it. “This year, the Graz adventure region also expressed the wish to finally go beyond the borders of the capital of pleasure and I was very happy to do so – and what can I say, both events in Ligist and Lassnitzhöhe are completely sold out.” The same applies to the “One Night in Bangkok” with her husband Daniel Marg.
However, tickets are still available for the Underground Kitchen Party at the start on Monday, the Amouro event in the Bakerhouse Gallery, the Schmiedgassen enjoyment festival in four establishments on Schmiedgasse, 100 years of Laufke and the truffle party. Karin Marg’s tip for last-minute visitors: “Entrance to the Schlossberg morning pint on July 9th is free, so if you haven’t gotten a ticket, you can spend a day there with good music and great drinks.”
