Olympic Band Celebrates 60 Years with Epic Prague Metro Concert: Watch Petr Janda’s Interview

Olympic band frontman Petr Janda is known for his original ideas. On Thursday afternoon, he fulfilled his dream and started it with the band in the Prague metro. He invited fans to celebrate 60 years of Olympic on stage, which will take place on December 18, 2023 in Prague’s O2 arena.

The group Olympic went down in history and made the Prague metro resound with their hits. Petr Janda and the other members of the group performed in the vestibule of Náměstí Republiky station, where they gradually gathered a large audience.

Janda thus fulfilled the wish he had for the jubilee 60 years on the scene. “We decided to play for you in the subway. So enjoy it as much as we do. It won’t be long, about half an hour,” said the singer of the original show with a laugh.

People could thus liven up their journey from work and sing songs such as Okno mé láskie and Why just you. And it was clear that the band enjoyed the original concert as well. Janda constantly encouraged his audience and the audience returned his energy with cheers.

“And friends, that’s all. We’re looking forward to December 18, there will be ten guests. Happy journey home,” the singer told his fans and ended the unusual concert with the song Give me more of your love, as he is used to. However, the subway performance was only a fraction of what the rock legends had in store for their anniversary. She recently even launched a songbook with her greatest hits, so people really have something to look forward to.

After the concert, Petr Janda gave an interview. Watch the video:
