The artist was not ready for such a turn.
In Soviet times, Margarita Terekhova was considered one of the best actresses. She shone in the sensational film “D’Artagnan and the Three Musketeers” and Tarkovsky’s cult film “Mirror”. The multifaceted talent of the actress was appreciated by many directors, but one day she faced complete disdain in her address.
In the mid-70s, the film “Moscow, my love” was released. Starring Oleg Vidov and Japanese actress Komaki Kurihara. In the first version of the tape, there were many scenes with Terekhova, who played the beloved girl of the key character. However, according to the plot, a Japanese ballerina wedges into their relationship and lures the man to her. Thus begins a beautiful romance.
However, influential producers from Japan categorically did not like this turn, because such an act discredited the main character. Director Alexander Mitta was forced to remove all the episodes with the participation of Terekhova, which was the beginning of their long-term feud. In addition, Margarita Borisovna later spoke unflatteringly about Komaki, through whose indirect fault all this happened.
